Halloween: Come Visit a Local Pumpkin Patch

Halloween is quickly approaching, but there is still time to find the best pumpkin for carving. Visit one of these local, family owned spots and enjoy a great fall pastime with your family. While they all have great pumpkin patches there is plenty of other activities to enjoy. Hay rides and corn mazes, animals, tasty food and holiday crafts. Call beforehand and plan your trip. Hunter’s Pumpkin Patch – 7401 Yelm Hwy. SE, Olympia. Phone 360-456-0466. Open daily from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Hunter’s has pumpkins, a giant corn maze, rides for kids, hay maze with slide, carousel, pony rides, small animals, food and a holiday shop.

Lattin’s Country Cider Mill & Farm – 9402 Rich Rd. Se, Olympia. Phone 360-491-7328. Open Monday-Saturday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday 12-4 p.m. There are pumpkins, horse drawn wagon rides, homemade donuts, hay maze, petting zoo and fresh fruit and award winning cider.

Rutledge Corn Maze – 302 93rd Ave SE, Olympia. Phone 360-357-3700. Open Friday’s and Saturday’s through Halloween night. Corn maze, haunted maze for the daring, pumpkin patch, horse drawn hayrides, miniature golf and food.

Schilter Family Farm – 141 Nisqually Cutoff RD SE, Olympia. Phone 360-459-4023. Huge selection of pumpkins, pick your own or choose one that has already been harvested. Train rides, corn maze and child-size hay bale maze, produce, gift shop and food.
